Our Origin Story
FreedomCo was founded by Kyron Gosse – The Freedom Investor – in 2016 after attending Peter Diamandis’ Abundance 360 conference in Los Angeles. Looking at all the emerging technology and then drawing his own conclusions about what life and property would look like once they converged, Kyron very quickly realised that even real estate could be demonetised, allowing people to have a roof over their head, fresh food, fresh water and abundance of clean energy at zero cost to the user.
Kyron then theorised that if people didn’t have to simply work to pay a mortgage or their bills then it would completely change the way they worked and lived.
FreedomCo was set up off the back of this realisation with the vision to bring that future into the present in anyway possible given the technology of the day, with the first project being a co-living space in Bali, Indonesia.
Rivendell was an 8 bedroom villa, where digital nomads and entrepreneurs could rent their room with all bills included, with live in staff, a huge pool, business masterminds and lots of family dinners, for the next to nothing cost of $400 USD per month.
As expected with the cost of living being so cheap, many of the residents spent their time on self actualisation through meditation and yoga, they joined local organisations to help clean the beaches and mentor young Balinese children and their work life balance was greatly weighted towards doing more of what they love.
The FreedomCo group of companies form the pillars of Kyron’s vision of a world where people don’t have to work soul destroying jobs in order to survive. Where everyone can live the lifestyle his Bali residents had, anywhere in the world.
These pillars are education which is achieved through the Freedom Investor Network. This is also our online community and the first opportunity many people get in order to be introduced to our philosophy, our vision and our values.
The physical real estate developments are our attempt to bring the future into the present, with every development working to decrease the cost of living with the major focus on demonetising construction, land, finance and ownership. Where we can experiment with different technologies to drive the cost down, to increase the sense of community and to regenerate the earth whilst we are at it.
Our investment pillar is what helps fund our projects, allows us to acquire the companies and technology that allow us to achieve our goals and to fast track society to one that works for all. It offers impact investors the opportunity to be part of this journey, share in the profits and to support our vision.
